If lies were cats

Just a belated earthquake update.  About a week ago, there was a rather noticeable one--a 4.8.

 Which makes the tally:

Sendai: 4

Anchorage: 10

Total: 14

Also, I will be returning to Jersey a bit late this winter.  I'll be arriving on January 1st and staying 'til January 14th.  Otanoshimi ni.

Taishou!

Today was our first snow of the year.

Also, did you know that "ain't" was considered a proper English word up until about two-hundred years ago?  It was the correct contraction for the words "am not," thus the phrase "I ain't" was acceptable.  However, imbeciles liked to use it to contract "are not" as well, and this upset grammarians and, presumably, elementary English teachers.  So, it was hyper-corrected (much the same way "you and I" is gradually disappearing in favor of "you and me" because people don't understand what a predicate is) to the point that it is no longer considered a proper English word in any situation.  How sad.

Tennou Heika Banzai!

Earthquake tally!  There was a 3.something a few days ago--nothing exciting, and then another about hour or so ago.  Also, congratulations to James on experiencing his first earthquake!  At 4.5, it was a respectable one, as far as day-to-day earthquakes go.
